Creating bespoke clothing & accessories under the name ‘Fallen Masques’. I gained my technical qualifications in design back in the ‘nineties from Coventry Technical College, and was taught by many of the same team who are now running the successful Fashion degree course at Coventry University.

Having lost my job at university owing to Covid cutbacks last summer, but this gave me the push to unpack my sewing machines and get creative again!

I’ve created made-to-measure gothic/alternative wear and made outfits for bands such as Cradle of Filth, Corpus Delicti, This Burning Effigy, Suspiria and Coventry’s own, Attrition.

It gave me the push to unpack my sewing machines and get creative again!

I make gothic garments and accessories inspired by nature, surreal and fairytale elements. Many of my items are made from upcycled vintage fabrics and trimmings and I also accept bespoke orders. I sell many of my creations to the US and Europe, through my Etsy store ‘Fallen Masques’. I also collect and lovingly restore antique pieces, namely Edwardian and Victorian mourning clothing.

I design and make gothic garments & accessories inspired by nature, surreal and fairytale elements. I also collect and lovingly restore antique pieces, mainly Edwardian and Victorian mourning clothing and these are a huge influence on my work. In fact, many of my creations are made from upcycled vintage fabrics and trimmings and can be found in my online Etsy shop 'Fallen Masques'. I have also held several art exhibitions under the name 'Fallen Art' as part of the heritage weekend events in Coventry. I am looking forward to hosting these again, when the restrictions allow, to give local artists & makers the opportunity to exhibit their work in unique, historical settings. Coventry has a rich history of making, with the ribbon industry and watch making and it's fantastic to see it buzzing as a hive of creativity again!
