Craft your own wheeled horse toy and take it for a canter around the fort!
This summer during the school holidays, visitors to the Lunt can craft their own wheeled horse toy, based on a Roman example from 2000 years ago and take it for a canter around the fort!
Once you’re finished, take your noble steed for a canter around the fort!
You will also be able to explore this unique reconstructed fortress, taking in the sites of the ramparts (which will be undergoing some exciting renovations), the granary building and the world’s only known Gyrus inside a Roman fort!
There are two-time slots available: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
Under 4s go free. Aimed at ages 5-12, but all are welcome. Please note: Tickets cannot be purchased on-site and must be booked online in advance.
