An update to Angry Dan’s mural at Pool Meadows bus station are these wonderful bike racks by Julia Snowdin, depicting the twists and turns of Coventry bus routes.
Julia Snowdin is a local artist who has exhibited her work at The Herbert Art Gallery in the past, mainly focuses on unexpected and unimaginative spaces. She uses sensory stimulation such as lighting and sound to create a shared experience for her audience.
They are the Babbu Laccu bike racks. Each one takes inspiration from the sweeps and turns of Coventry bus routes. The installation featured route 3, 13, 21, 16, 10, 9, 6 and 5.
